Boston Magazine: Inside the Boston Athenaeum’s “community of the curious”

The Boston Athenæum, one of the oldest independent libraries in the United States, has reopened its doors after sixteen months of construction! The 23,200 SF renovation and expansion designed by Ann Beha Architects, now Annum Architects supports the institution in broadening its programming, engaging more of Boston’s diverse population, and increasing transparency about its history.

PBS News Hour has featured the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s use of technology to increase visitor engagement with their collections of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine art. We’re proud to have supported the MFA in their mission to create an inclusive and dynamic environment for visitors to experience these important works with the recent renovation of their Art of the Ancient World galleries.

We had the pleasure of working with Museum of Fine Arts, Boston on the Dutch & Flemish Art Galleries and the Center for Netherlandish Art. We’re thrilled to see the works of Michaelina Wautier, a long-overlooked 17th-century woman artist, featured in one of the newly renovated gallery spaces and covered in The New York Times.

We’re excited to see the MFA getting national recognition for their ongoing initiative to highlight this important era in art history, and to have supported them in doing so.
